Narrative

Child of William L. Reeves and Martha C. Warren:
  1. John "Buel" Reeves, b. 1850
  2. Samuel "Bock" Reeves, b. 1852
  3. Isaac "Dock" Reeves, b. 1854
  4. Martha Virginia "Jennie" Reeves, b. 1856
  5. Josephine Reeves, b. 1858
  6. James Reeves, b. 1861
With the exception of James who was born in 1861, the above children appear to have been listed in the household of their uncle Lawson Reeves and well as their father William L. Reeves' which was incorrectly listed as Rivers. The nicknames listed for John and Samuel are the names recorded in that 1860 household of Lawson Reeves.

William L. Reeves enlisted as a private in Co. C of the 10th Georgia Regiment of the CSA on 12 Aug 1861. On 6 Nov 1862, he was admitted to the CSA hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia with pneumonia where he died on the 21st of November.

On 7 Apr 1863 his wife Martha C. Reeves filed a claim with the Confederacy for any monies due or allowances. By the 1870 census, Martha had married a much younger James Morris and the entire family is found living in Dale County, Alabama.
