Research Notes

Most census records list William Reeves place of birth as South Carolina. Only the 1850 census appears to list North Carolina and is probably in error.

There appears to have been much confusion as to the family of William Ross Reeves and numerous people in Ancestry, Geni and other sites have mixed this William Reeves with the family of Malachi son of James Reeves of Buncombe, North Carolina. Research of this family will require much detailed and meticulous investigation.
