The 1870 census of Fayette County, Georgia lists William W. Reeves wife as Mary; however all subsequent census that can be located give her name as Lee E. with a marriage dated 1866.

The Georgia death certificate of William Wyley Reeves gives the name of his spouse as "Ladafsy Head". Information for the death certificate was given by Oliver J. Reeves of Memphis, Tennessee.

Census also indicate that this couple had six living children in 1910 but since they cannot be found in the 1880 census, one of those children has not been identified and it seems odd that the births cover a span of 23 years but only six children were born.
