Mrs. Larkin Lamar Claimed by Death
End Comes to Splendid Woman of the Rock Springs Section
Mrs. Sarah Ann Lamar, wife of Larkin S. Lamar, one of the leading citizens of the Rock Springs section, died at her home at midnight Sunday. Mrs. Martin has been sick for several weeks and the end was not unexpected. She was a devout Christian, a loyal member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church and a woman of find attributes of character. She is survived by her husband and three children, Ed Lamar, of Birmingham, R. P. Lamar, of Rock Springs, and Mrs. Edward Smith, of Columbia.
The funeral service were conducted at the residence Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock by Rev. H. A. Gray assisted by Rev. John Stephens. The interment was at the Reaves grave yard.

Note that the Sunday was the 6th, but the obituary says she died at midnight. The death certificate and headstone chose the Monday at the date.
