"D. B" Rives and Gillie is buried in the Avilla Cemetery in Jasper County, Missouri. His wife remarried to John Gibson in 1872.
From Reliques of the Rives:
Dr. Benjamin Franklin Rives was educated in medicine which he practiced for a time in Franklin county, Virginia, where he was born, and later in Sedalia, Missouri, to which he removed about 1847. Due to unsettled conditions in Missouri, he removed his family at the outbreak of war to Paris, Illinois, where he remained for about a year, later returning to Sedalia. Dr. Rives married Gillie Keen and died soon after the close of the war, leaving three daughters.
