Attended Collirene Acad.; inducted into service in World War on Sept. 18,1917, and served overseas with Co. E, 123rd Infantry, and Co. L, 139th Infantry, received honorable discharge May 13, 1919; res. Davisboro, Ga., where he is engaged in automotive business.(Reliques)
Returned to Collirene where he lived until his death in 1967. He opened Rives Appliances in nearby Selma, Alabama in 1934. His sons continue running the store until they retired in 1985.
