Mother: Margaret Cabell
Birth: 29 Oct 1799, Warminster, Nelson County, Virginia
Death: 16 Sep 1833
Henry Rives, b. Oct. 29, 1799, at Warminster; attended William and Mary College, 1816; and became a successful lawyer. During the years 1826-1833, he was Captain of a cavalry company attached to the 28th Regt. Va. Militia, which included his brothers, Landon Cabell and Robert Rives. He died at Oak Ridge on Sept. 16, 1833, unmarried.
This is probably the person who had a census entry in 1830 in Albemarle for "Henry Rives Est." His father appears on the census in Albemarle as "Robert Rives (by agent)" in Albemarle which could indicate the family was in move and was listed in both locations because of that.
Henry is buried in the Rives family cemetery in Nelson County. Headstone states "son of Ro. & M. C. Rives". Dates appear to be the same given in Reliques.
