John W. Rives, Jerseyville, Dies
JERSEYVILLE, Nov. 8. — John W. Rives, 71, died at his home here Wednesday.
Rives was a son of the late Andrew Jackson Rives and Isabella Jane Wilson Rives and was born in Greenfield Dec. 12, 1873.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Della Waters Rives, one son, Harold of New Orleans, La.; one daughter, Mrs. C. F. Merriam of Dallas, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. W. O. Miller of South Haven, Kan,; Mrs. Jessie King, of Carrollton, Mrs. Louis Gimmy of Carrollton; three brothers, E. M. Rives of Springfield, Paul L. Rives of Tulsa, Okla.; Thomas F. Rives of Welnsen, Tex., He is also survived by two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday at 3 p.m. The Rev. David Maxton, pastor of the Presbyterian Church will officiate, and burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery.
