Thomas Wright Rives was born in Sussex county, Virginia, in 1815, and died June 11, 1895, in La Grange, Tennessee, in the vicinity of which he had removed with his family from Virginia some time previous to 1848. Mr. Thomas W. Rives married, 1st, Martha Houston, of Marshall county, Mississippi; and, 2nd, July 22, 1856, Virginia A. Moore, of Macon, Tennessee

Martha died 20 Mar 1855. She and her son Thomas Houston Rives are buried in the LaGrange Cemetery, Fayette County, Tennessee.

Research Notes

Reliques lists him as a son of Thomas Eldridge Rives and Kezziah Tucker. So far, no records have been found to establish this relationship.
