Narrative

Although a baptism for Susanna has not been found, she was mentioned in the will of her father which states "I give my house in Woodstocke wherein my sonn Edward now lives unto my daughter Susannah and her heires." Additionally he gave the rest of his goods at the end of the will to Susannah and Charles.

Susanna wrote her will on 12 Aug 1732 in which she styles herself " Susanna Ryves of the parish of St Georges Hanover Square in the county of Middlesex Spinster." She mentions her niece Jane Read who is also one of the grandchildren listed in her father's will. She additionally mentions "my Brother Charles Ryves and to Elinor his wife" and "my sister Margaret Ryves" whom she made executrix. The will was probated 28 Apr 1735, the same day she was buried.
