Samuel S. Scott Jr. married Polly Reeves Abt 1850 in Clay County Alabama. He is believed to be the individual who is buried in the County Line Baptist Church Cemetery. This individual has a tombstone in scribed Samuel S. Scott d. September 10, 1856. We know his father lived many more years.

In the 1860 census all three of the children of Samuel S. Scott and Polly Reeves Scott were living with Grandparents as they did until maturity. Apparently both Samuel S.Scott Jr and Polly Reeves Scott were no longer surviving in 1860.
