Celia is one of two known children of Charles and Celia SLAPE. She was baptised on 20 March 1791 at the Parish Church of St Thomas, Portsmouth, Hampshire.As Cecelia Slape, she married George Reeves at the Parish Church of St Mary, Portsea, Hampshire.
There are eight known children of George Reeves and Celia
- Cecelia Ann Reeves, bapt 21 July 1811
- George Nicholas Reeves, bapt 20 August 1813, died/bur 22 June 1814
- Maria Augusta Reeves, bapt 28 May 1815
- Jane Elizabeth Reeves, bapt 23 May 1817
- Matilda Reeves, bapt 19 September 1819
- Moses William Reeves, bapt 30 June 1822
- George Aldridge Reeves, bapt 13 April 1825
- John Cain Reeves, bapt 25 Jan 1832
By the time of the 1841 census George and Celia were living on Chapel Street, in the St Mary's area of Southampton.
At the time of the 1851 census Celia had been widowed and was living on Coleman Street, in Southampton. Her daughter Jane, son George plus his wife Mary and their two children were living with Celia. Also present was a third grandchild, Maria J CLARKE.
Celia was still living on Coleman Street at the time of the 1861 census, but has not be found on subsequent census returns. FreeBMD has a probable death registration in first quarter of 1865 in Southampton Registration District.
