Greetings from a snowy Kent.
I don't recall a year when we've experienced so much snow and cold days and nights in his part of the world before Christmas. From my youth, I recall a year where we had much more snow which lasted several weeks, but I think that was mostly after Christmas. (Google confirms it was winter of 1962/63). I have to confess the novelty is now wearing a little thin. But we're in good shape and still hopeful our two daughters will make it safely home for Christmas lunch. With Christmas Day falling on a Saturday this year, Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 December are both public (Bank) holidays here in the UK. My wife is looking forward to the time off work and no doubt the post Christmas sales. So please don't expect to see me online as much over the coming days. That may mean there will be the occasional delay in approving comments or responding to requests, but I'm sure you will all understand why.
I wish you and those dear to you a Happy, Peaceful and Restful Christmas.
Working With Structures
If you are working with a Structure, please take extra care. As powerful as they are for our purposes, its very easy to accidentally move an item. If you do and find yourself unable to restore it to its original position, please let Martin or Bev know, so that they can rectify to situation.Structures are particularly vulnerable because unlike other Wiki pages, there is no internal versioning and no ability to roll back to an earlier version. This is all the more acute at present since one of the remaining defects with our Wiki is our inability to export structures (an admin only function) which allowed us to create occasional point in time back ups.
So please take extra care with Structures, particularly if you have a festive Mince Pie and Sherry to hand :-)
