Wiki Stats - End February 2014

The total number of pages in the Wiki (as at 1 February 2014) now stands at 5660 (previously 5633, 5623, 5610), an increase of 36 pages during the past month. Of these 1160 pages (was 1160, 1159, 1159) begin with number and are most probably a date related gleaning. We currently have 2257 wiki pages categorised as "People", of which 1844 begin with the letter "R".

TRP Users

We ended January with 157 user accounts on TRP, with six new members successfully activating their accounts during the month. We welcome George, Lynda, Lynn, Tammy, Treena and Mike and look forward to their contributions to TRP. You are encouraged to go ahead and create a meaningful name for your account, if you haven't already done so. Please see TRP_First_Steps_Part_1.

GOONS

Now if one is British and of a certain age (and not interested in genealogy) then the Goons can only mean one thing – the cast of The Goon Show - an irreverent comedy series broadcast on BBC radio in the 1950s and subsequently repeated. But in genealogy circles it’s the initials of The Guild of One Name Studies, whose web site is http://one-name.org. The Reeves Project has recently been registered with the Guild. and once our profile page has been completed and submitted to them, we'll update this paragraph with a link to it
