Wiki Stats - End January 2016

The total number of pages in the Wiki (as at 1 February 2016) now stands at 6572 (previously 6564, 6548, 6458), an increase of just 8 pages during the past month.     Of these 1283 pages (was 1283, 1283, 1281) begin with number and are most probably a date related gleaning.     We currently have 2729 wiki pages categorised as "People", of which 2313 begin with the letter "R".

TRP Users

We ended January 2016 with 240 user accounts registered with TRP, an increase of one. But we had two new members successfully activate their account during the month (one first registered a couple of months ago, but had other things on her mind at the time). We welcome Jim Reaves and Helen and look forward to your contributions to TRP.

In the past three months 31 members have logged in to TRP (previously 33, 34 members) and over the past twelve months 76 members (was 77, 77) have logged in. As a community member you are missing out if you just browse without bothering to log in.

Can You Help, Please?

Do you have skills in editing video files? Have you used SnagIt or similar software to capture what’s happening on your PC screen? If so, could you help The Reeves Project create video tutorials for each of our “First Steps”? They say a picture’s worth a thousand words and we’d love to be able to give our new community members the choice of words or pictures.

Having created these videos, what should we do with them? Do you have experience you could share regarding the creating and maintaining of a YouTube channel? Or are there better alternatives for cheaply hosting video tutorials?
