Wiki Stats - End June 2016

The total number of pages in the Wiki (as at 1 July 2016) now stands at 6712 (previously 6695, 6646, 6591) and increase of 17 pages during the month.     Of these 1316 pages (was 1313, 1288, 1285) begin with a number and are most probably a date related gleaning.     We currently have 2786 wiki pages categorised as "People", of which 2361 begin with the letter "R".

TRP Users

We ended June with 248 user accounts registered in TRP, with two new members activating their accounts during the month. We welcome Aaron and Dane and look forward to seeing their contributions to our wiki.

Reeves DNA Project Update

Its been a while since we've had news to share about the Reeves DNA Project, but in mid June Barry Reeves, the Reeves DNA Project Admin, assigned a number of the recently processed Y-DNA results to their respective Groups within the DNA Project. Barry also posted an announcement on 19 June to the Activity Feed https://www.familytreedna.com/groups/reeves/activity-feed. A summary of the changes is available here.

It is important to note that these updates have only been made to the DNA Results page within the Family Tree DNA website at https://www.familytreedna.com/groups/reeves/dna-results.
NB   You do not need an account with Family Tree DNA to access the activity feed or the results pages.

These recent changes have NOT been reflected on the results page at the Rootsweb servers http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~reevesdna/results.htm. Because of the challenges of keeping the data synchronised, Barry is reviewing the future of the Reeves DNA Project pages at Rootsweb.

From next month The Reeves Project (TRP) will be more attentively watching and reporting on activity within the Reeves DNA Project.   Watch this space....
