Wiki Stats - End October 2020
The total number of pages in the Wiki (as at 1 November 2020) now stands at 10591 (previously 10500, 10365, 10226) an increase of 91 pages during the month. Of the total, 2035 pages (was 2012, 1968, 1938) begin with a number and are most probably a date related gleaning. We currently have 4534 wiki pages categorised as "People", of which 4039 begin with the letter "R".Community members should log in to see more.
TRP User
During October we saw a flurry of interest in TRP, with eight prospective users completing the form to start the enrolment process. Thus far only two of those individuals have responded to our message to them to claim their account, so we ended October 2020 with 450 user accounts registered in TRP. We had just one user successfully activated their account during the past month and we welcome to our community LaKena M.Whether you joined TRP recently or a while ago, if you have yet to do so, please set a meaningful name for yourself as described in First Steps - Part 1. It isn't difficult and only takes a couple of minutes to do. If it helps, think of it as a name label badge; so your first name plus surname (or at least surname initial) would generally be a good choice.
If you have already started the enrolment process and are having issues, please do let us know. Please contact New User Admin by sending an email to TRP123 (at) TheReevesProject (dot) org if you're stuck and need help. If you are not yet a member and would like to contribute to our community, please complete our Join Us form to start the membership enrolment process.
Hints and Tips - Watch / Monitor this Page
As our masthead proudly proclaims, our wiki is a global collaboration. Aside from a few key system pages, any community member can edit and contribute to any page. When you create or edit a page, you can opt-in to receive an email notification when the content on that page is subsequently edited by another user. Just above and to the left of the big blue "Save" button is a check box "Monitor this page".Please use this feature very selectively. If everybody choose to monitor every page they have even a passing interest in, TRP would start generating huge quantities of email and we don't want to get black-listed as a spam generator. Likewise, if you subsequently decide you don't want to be notified of changes to a specific page, please DO NOT simply mark the email as spam to hide it. Log in to TRP and on the horizontal navigation bar pick the option "My Watches" from the drop down list for "My Account". Using the check box, select the Watch (or multiple Watches) you no longer wish to receive an email notification for and then click the orange "Delete" button at the foot of the page.
NB The wiki software underpinning TRP uses the terms "Monitor" and "Watch" to describe the same thing, which can cause confusion.
