In the name of god Amen the xxviith? day of July in the yere of our Lord god one thousand five hundred fower score and twelve I John Reve of Eppinge in the Countie of Essex yeoman doe ordaine and make this my present testament and last will in manner and forme following That is to saye
Ffirst I bequest my soule into thande of allmightie god and my bodie I will to be buryed in the church yard of Eppinge aforesaid
Item I give and bequeath unto Thomas Reeve my sonne my bedsteadle? in my plor my ffetherbed out bloster and one pillow and my chist standing at my bedd heade? which I usually lye
Item I give and bequeath unto Joane Bett my daughter now the wife of John Bett five marke of good and lawfull money of England unto Regnald Bett out fo the found of the fund Joane ? of lyke true full money of England unto John Bett thother sonne of the same Joane my daughter forty shillinge of lawfull money of England as aforesaid unto Anne Ffinch one other daughter of ye saide Thomas Ffinch my sonne in lawe ten shillings of like lawfull money of England and unto Sara Finch thother daughter of the said Thomas Finch my sonne in lawe other ten shillings of lyke lawfull money of England
Item I give and bequeath more unto the said Joane Bett my daughter my brasse pott
Item I give and bequeath unto Samuell Finch the sonne of John Finch my sonne in law ten shillinge of lawful money of England
Item I give and bequeath unto John Jenynge sonne of John Jenynge my sone in lawe six shillinge and eight pence of lyke lawfull money of England & unto Daye? Brewer the daughter of Richard Brewer my sonne in lawe six shilling and eight pence of like lawfull money of England unto Elizabeth Brewer the daughter of the said Richard Brewer my sonne in law other six shillinge and eight pence of good and lawfull money of England
Item I give and bequeath unto my Margarett Fletcher one of the daughters of Joane Fletcher my daughter in lawe deceased my best kettle and unto Richard Fletcher the sonne of the same Joane my daughter in law deceased one other kettle
Item I give and bequeath unto Thomas Ffinche my sonne in lawe my malte? ? and all the ymplements thereof
All the resydewe of my goods moveables and chattalls herein not bequeathed given nor appointed I give and bequeath wholy unto Christian my wife whome I doe ordaine and make sole executrix of this my present testament and last will to give unto poore people of this pish of Eppinge thereoute ... of lawfull money of England In witnes that this is my last will I have hereunto putt my hande and seale; these being witnesses
