In the name of god Amen I Robert Rives of Blanford form in the countie of Dorst marchant beinge sicke & weake in bodie but of good and perfect remembrance for which I give unto God alightie most humble and hartie thanks doe constitute ordaine and make this my last will and testament by worde in manner and forme followinge.Imprimis I give and bequeath my soule unto almightie god hopeinge through the merritts and bitter passion of our Lorde and Savior Jesus Christe his onlie begotten sonne to be saved And my bodie to be buried in the cathedrall church of our blessed Ladie in Sarn?.
Item I give and bequeath my debtes beinge firste paide unto Marie my welbeloved wife and unto John Rives and Johane Rives my sonne and duaghter and unto the childe which my saide wife now goeth withall; all my goodes & chattells whatsoever to be trulie valued and equally by even partes and porcons to be devided amongest them except my musket which saide muskett I give and bequeth unto my loveinge brother John Rives of Randleston in the countie of Dorst gent whome I doe constitute and make my full and wholle executor
