In the Name of God Amen I John Reeve of Writtle on the County of Essex gent being in health of Body and of sound and perfect minde and memory praised be God do make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner following Imprimis I give devise and bequeath unto my loving kinsman Thomas Baynes of Writtle aforesaid gent with whom I now dwell and to his heires and assignes forever All that messuage tenement or farme called Fens with all the lands meadows pastures woods and Woodgrounds with every of their Appurtenances thereunto belonging situate lying and being in Bocking aforesaid conteyning by estimacon (blank) acres more or less and late in the occupacon of Joseph Polley his assignee or assignes and were in the tenure or occupacon of Thomas Baynes his assignee or assignes And also all that messuage tenement or farme comonly called Willoubyes with all the lands meadowes pastures woods woodgrounds feedings and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging situate lying and being in Bocking aforesaid conteyning by estimacon acres more or less late in the tenure or occupacon of William Pettit his asignee or assignes and now in the tenure or occupacon of John Webb and the said John Reeve my undertenant assignee or assignes and also all those two messuages or tenements the one alled or known by the name of the Red Lyon with all the yards gardens orchards lands grounds and appurtenances thereunto belonging situate lying and being in Bocking aforesaid late in the tenure or occupacon of Joseph Holmes his assignee or assignes and were in the tenure or occupacon of John Holmes or his assignes And also one field or close of land comonly called Eneyfield or otherwise conteyning by estimacon seven acres more or less lying and being in Stysted in the said County of Essex with their appurtenances late the tenure or occupacon of John Hetley and now in the tenure or occupaon of Isaac Medcalfe Butcher his assignee or assignes And also all other the messuages lands tenements and hereditaments whatsoever of me the said John Reeve situate lying and being in Bocking and Stysted aforesaid or elsewhere in the County of Essex.
Item I doe further give and bequeath unto the said Thomas Baynes and his assignes All my Bills Bonds rents ready money debts due to me on mortgage or otherwise and all other my personall estate whatsoever and wheresoever he paying and discharging all my debts funerall charges and probate of this my will And I do hereby nominate and appoint the said Thomas Baynes sole executor of this my last will and Testament and I doe hereby revoke and make void all wills by me heretofore made and I doe declare this to be my last Will and Testament In witnesses whereof I the said John Reeve have to this my last will and Testament conteyned in two sheets of paper to Each sheet thereof sett my hand and seal this eleventh of January in the eighth year of the raigne of our soveraigne Lord George By the grace of God of great Britaine France and Ireland King Defender of the faith &c Annoque Dm 1721
