Transcription

To all and to whom these present Writings shall come Greeting. Know ye that I George Reeve of Prince William County for the natural love and good will which I have and do bear to my loving Sons Benjamin Reeve & John Reeve, Moses Reeve & Asa Reeve of the County aforesaid & for divers good causes have given unto Benjamin Reeve, John Reeve, Moses Reeve & Asa Reeve and to their heirs and assigns a certain Quantody of land in the County aforesaid Vizt. I George Reeve of the County aforesaid have given unto Benjamin Reeve of the said County & to his heirs and assigns a tract of land of Fifty five acres whereon he now lives and Ninety five acres more or less out of a Tract of Nine hundred & Forty one acres laid off to him as followeth Adjoining to the line of Capt. Thomas Davis and the line of Mr. Housin Hooe and thence by a dividing line beginning at a Hickory standing in or near the line of Mr. Howsin Hooe thence NE along a line of marked trees to a branch to a Gum thence down the branch to Bull Run together with all the houses & appurtenances whatsoever belonging To Have and To Hold unto my loving Son Benjamin Reeve and to his heirs and assigns forever they paying yearly the Quitrents due. I have also given unto my loving Son John Reeve of the County and to his heirs & assigns One hundred & fifty acres of land taken out of a Tract of Nine hundred & Forty one acres laid off to him as followeth beginning at a Hickory standing or near the line of Mr. Housin Hooe thence along the line of said Hooe to the Rushy Branch thence down the said Branch to Bull Run thence down Bull Run to the branch that divides between him & his Brother Benjamin Reeve then up the sd branch to the beginning Together with the houses & appurtenances whatsoever belonging To Have and To Hold the said land unto my loving Son John Reeve and to his heirs and assigns forever they paying yearly the Quitrents due,I have also given unto my loving Son Moses Reeve of the sd County and to his heirs and assigns One hundred & Eighty acres of land part of a Tract of Nine hundred & forty One acres and part out of a tract of Three hundred and Seventy acres laid off to him as followeth adjoining to the line of Abraham Raw thence joining upon Joseph Buchana thence by a dividing line beginning at a small white Oak standing near the head of a Drean thence down the Drean to the main branch thence down the branch to the Corner of a tract of Three hundred & seventy acres (all Necessary priviledges of One hundred acres more or less marked off En cluding the plantation whereon William Byrt now livest to my Daughter Elizabeth Haggard during her natural life only excepted) together with all the houses and appurtenances whatsoever appertaining To Have and To Hold unto my loving Son Moses Reeve & to his heirs and assigns they paying yearly the Quitrents due. I have also given unto my loving Son Asa Reeve of the said County and to his heirs and assigns One hundred and fifty acres of land being part of a tract of three hundred & seventy acres laid off to him as followeth from the dividing line between him and his Brother Moses Reeve to the Roling Road that goes to Kays Ford encluding the Manner Plantation whereon I now live (all necessary priviledges to me & my Wife during our natural lives only excepted) together with all and singular the houses and appurtenances whatsoever appertaining To Have and To Hold the said land unto my loving Son Asa Reeve his heirs and assigns forever he or they paying yearly the Quitrents to be paid for the same. In Witness whereof I have set my hand & seal this 18th day of October 1751." James Bridges, Abraham Raw, and Benjamin Hamrick witnessed the deed. George Reeve signed the deed and acknowledged it in open court on 28 October 1751.
