First Day of Gregorian calendar in Britain and British Empire


Thursday, 14 September 1752 (New Style)

In Britain and the British Empire (including the eastern parts of what is now the United States), Thursday 14 September was the first day of the adoption of the Gregorian calendar.

It was preceded by Wednesday, 2 September 1752 (Old Style)
