Know all men by these presents that I Jacob Reeves of Sudbury in the County of Middlesex and Province of the Massachusetts Bay in New England Innholder in consideration of Eighteen Pounds twelve shillings lawful money paid me by John Reeves of Salem in the County of Essex and Province aforesaid Wheelwright the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge do hereby give grant sell and convey unto the said John Reeves and his heirs A Certain piece of land lying in Salem in the County of Essex adjoining on the Great Street leading through Salem and bounded as follows vizt Northerly on the said Street Eleven feet four inches, easterly on Samuel Reeves's land nine poles fourteen links southerly on Richard Palmers Eleven feet and westerly on the widow Blaneys land nine poles fourteen links. To have and to hold the same to the said John Reeves and his heirs to him and their use and behoof forever and I do covenant with the said John Reeves and his heirs and assigns that I am lawfully seized in Fee of the premises that they are free of all incumbrances that I have good right to sell and convey the same to the said John Reeves and that I will warrant and defend the same to the said John Reeves and his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims and demands of all persons In witness whereof I the sd Jacob Reeves have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty third day of June Anno Domini One thousand seven hundred and seventy two and in the twelfth year of his Majestys Reign Abigail the wife of the said Jacob Reeves in token of her consent and relinquishment of her right of Dower hath hereunto put her hand and sealJacob Reeves & a seal
