This Indenture made this Eighteenth day of August in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred & Eighty one Between James Rambo & Mary his wife Biddle Reves and Nancy his wife of the township of Debtford in the County of Gloucester in the Western Division of New Jersey yeoman of the one part. And Thomas Clark of the same place Esqr of the other part. Whereas John Parker did convey to Benjamin Braman a tract of land and Meadow ground on the West side of Mantus Creek, And the said Benjamin Braman by his last Will & Testament dated the 17th day of August 1731 Gave part of the same to his son Thomas Braman who by a Deed of sale conveys six acres and one rood part of the same to Gabril Rambo which deed bears date the sixth day of June 1758 and is recorded in Burlington in Book ..folio.. of deeds. And the said Gabriel Rambo died leaving one son named Thomas Rambo who by his Last Will and Testament dated the 24th day of March 1775 Gave the said Meadow to his two sons James Rambo and Jonathan Rambo in fee, who divided the same in two equal parts and the said Jonathan Rambo sold his half to the said Biddle Reves by Deed Dated the 24th day of December 1779 who became so seized of the same. Now this Indenture further witnesseth that the said James Rambo and Mary his wife Biddle Reves and Nancy his wife for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred pounds in silver and gold to us in hand paid by the said Thomas Clerk before the executing hereof the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge and am fully paid satisfied and contented Have Granted Bargained sold aliened enfeoffed released conveyed and confirmed the above lot of Meadow Ground in the township of Greenwich in the said County, and is Butted and Bounded in the manner and form following viz. Beginning at a stake by Mantus Creek Corner to Currys Meadow, then by the same south sixty seven degrees and half west six chains and forty links to the middle of an old creek to a post for a corner then by meadow of late Andrew Locks Deceased by the middle of said old Creek eight chains seven links by the several courses of the old creek to said Locks other meadow, then north fifty eight degrees and forty five minutes east eight chains and fourteen links to Mantua Creek aforesaid then up the same by the several courses to the place of Beginning containing six acres three roods of meadow ground Together with all and singular the ways waters and watercourses fishings fowlings & huntings rights privileges hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any ways appertaining with the reversion & reversions remainder and remainders rents issues & profits thereof to have and to hold the said six acres and three roods of meadow ground let the same be more or less unto the said Thomas Clark his heirs and assigns to the only proper use benefit & behoof of him the said Thomas Clark his heirs & assigns forever. And the said James Rambo & Biddle Reeves for themselves their heirs doth covenant grant and agree to and with the said Thomas Clark his heirs and assigns that they have done nothing prior to this date that will any ways extend to Lessen the premises or any part thereof and that it is free & clear from all incumbrances whatsoever mortgages dowers intails and hath in themselves good right full power lawful and absolute good right full power lawful and absolute authority to sell the same to the said Thomas Clark his heirs and assigns and against as the said James Rambo and Mary his wife Biddle Reves & Nancy his wife and their heirs and against all and every other person & persons whatsoever claiming or to claim any part or parcel of the said Meadow Ground or to claim shall and will warrant and forever defend. In witness whereof the parties to these presents have set their hands & seals the day & year first above written.

New Jersey Gloucester County SS Be it Remembered that on the thirtieth day of August one thousand seven hundred and eighty one, personally came before me John Wilkins Esqr one of the judges of the County Courts for the Holding of pleas for the County of Gloucester James Rambo & Mary his wife Biddle Reeves and Nancy his wife the within grantors who acknowledged that they signed sealed and delivered the within deed to Thomas Clark to and for the use within mentioned and the said Mary & Nancy being privately examined apart from their husbands, who says tha executed the said instrument of writing without any threats or compulsion of their said husbands taken and acknowledged the day and year abovesaid before me
