Transcription

This Indenture Made this twenty third day of March in the year of Christ one thousand Seven hundred and eighty five between Fourtune Reeves Administratrix and Jess Reeves Administrator of the Estate of MalachiaReeves Deceased of the County of Guilford & State of North Carolina of the one part and James Hunt of the County of Granvill of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of one hundred and thirty pounds hard money to them the Said Fourtune Reeves and Jess Reeves by the said James Hunt in hand paid before the Execution hereof the receipt whereof they the said Fortune Reeves and Jess Reeves doth hereby acknowledge & thereof Doth Exonerate and acquit the said James Hunt his Heirs Executors Administrators and assigns they the said Fortune Reeves and Jess Reeves by these presents hath granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed assigned released confirmed and set over unto the said James Hunt his Heirs and Assigns all that piece parcel or tract of land laying situate and being on the North side of Haw River in the County of Guilford Beginning at the Perkins corner black oak saplen on the Estren (sic) declivity of a hill near tanbrough (?) branch on John Borrows line running thence along the said John Borrow line North crossing said branch one hundred & twenty three poles to a post oak thence west one hundred & thirty poles to a post oak thence South Eighty five & a half poles to a Doble (?) black oak sapling thence west two hundred and twenty five poles to John Rhodes corner post oak thence South Eighty five poles to a black oak thence east one hundred & sixty poles to a black oak in said Peter Perkins line thence North forty eight poles crossing a branch to his corner Post Oak thence East along his land one hundred and ninty (sic) five poles to the first Station containing two hundred acres of land together with the Improvement reversions remainders and Issues and Profits and also all the estate right title Interest property claims and Demand whatsoever of in and to the said piece parcel or tract of land & premises and every part thereof with the appurtenances thereto belonging To Have and to Hold to the said James Hunt his Heirs and assigns forever to his and their only proper use benefit and behoof for ever And they the said Fortune Reeves & Jess Reeves doth hereby Grant they will for themselves & their heirs and every of them Warrant and for ever Defend the above Bargained Premises unto the said James Hunt his Heirs and assigns forever against them the said Fortune Reeves and Jess Reeves and their Heirs and assigns & against all and every other person or persons claiming from by or under them or any of them In Witness whereof they the said Fortune Reeves and Jess Reeves hath thereunto set their Hands and affixed their seals the Day and year above written.
