Transcript

This Indenture made the twenty six day September in the year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and eighty six. Between Fredk Rives of the County of Franklin of the one part and Alexander Rives of the sd County of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of seventy pounds current money of Virginia to the sd Fredk Rives in hand paid by the sd Alexander Rives at or before the sealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof doth release acquit and discharge the sd Alexander Rives his heirs executors and administrators by these presents he the said Fredk Rives hath Bargained and sold alined released and confirmed and by these presents doth Bargain sell alein and confirm unto the sd Alexr Rives in his actual possession now being and his Heirs one certain track of land in the sd County of Franklin and lying and Island Creek the Quantity Three hundred acres more or less and Bounded as followeth Viz., Beginning at Granesis Waggon Road at the Dividing Line, then along the rode to Potters Line then along Potters Line to the old order Line then Down the old order line to Potters from thence a north (?) to the Beginning and all houses Building on haderway water & watercourses Profits Commodities hereditaments and appurtenances thereto Belonging to the sd Premises hereby granted unto the sd Alexander Rives and I the sd Fredk Rives doth hereby Warrant and forever Defend the sd Land & Premises unto the sd Alexader Reives & his Heirs forever. As witness my hand and seal the Day & date above written.
