Alexander Rives appears in the Franklin County, Virginia tax records in 1787 and then is listed 1792-1795. There are four Franklin County, Virginia deeds concerning Alexander. Frederick sold Alexander two different tracts of land in 1786 and 1793. In a 1793 deed, " Frederick & his son Alexander Rives" sold land to Reubin Brown. And then in 1797, Alexander sold four hundred acres of land to his father which appears to be some of the same land he had bought from him years before. Alexander disappears from records following this deed, so he likely either died or moved soon after.
