THIS INDENTURE Made this Nineteenth day of January in the Year of Our Lord Christ One Thousand Seven Hundred & Eighty Seven Between Thomas Thomasson of Granville County in the State of North Carolina & Anna his wife of the one part & Hardy Reeves of the same County of the other part Witnesseth that the sd Thomas Thomasson & Anna his wife for & in Consideration of the Sum of Eighty pounds proclamation Money to them in hand paid by the sd Hardy Reeves at or before the ensealing & delivery of these presents the Rect whereof the said Thomas Thomasson & Anna his wife doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted bargained sold aliened & released Made over conveyed & confirmed unto the sd Hardy Reeves his heirs & assigns forever A certain tract or parcel of land Situate lying & being in the County of Granville lying on the branches of Tabbs Creek Containing Two Hundred acres be the Same more or less & is bounded as followeth, to wit, Beginning at Hicks Corner red Oak in Reeves’s line runing Reeves line West One Hundred & Eighty Eight poles to a corner in James Jett (?) line then his line South One Hundred & fifty Six poles to a pine then his other line west to forty poles to a red Oak then east One hundred and eighty poles to a red Oak & pine saplins in Hicks line then North One Hundred & fifty poles to the Beginning To have & to hold the aforesaid granted & bargained premises with all & Singular the rights benefits privileges & appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining thereto unto the sd Hardy Reeves his heirs & assigns forever & the sd Thomas Thomasson doth by these presents Warrant & defend the sd granted & bargained premises unto the sd Hardy Reeves his heirs & assigns forever free & clear of all Manner of Incumbrances (sic) & from the Just claim of any person or persons Whomsoever In Testimony whereof the sd Thomas Thomasson & Anna his wife hath hereunto set their hands & Seals the day & Year first above written.
