Transcript

This Indenture made this 11th day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty eight Between James West of the County of Wilkes and State of Georgia on the one part and Jeremiah Reeves of the county of Wilkes of State aforesd of the other part Witnesseth that the said James West for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds sterling the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold aliened enfeoffed released and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release & confirm unto the said Jeremiah Reeves his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Green on a branch of Richland Creek containing two hundred eighty seven and half acres granted to the said James West the twenty first day of February 1785 bounded on all sides by vacant land when surveyed having such shape form and marks as the plat anexed to the original grant shall shew be the same two hundred and eighty seven and a half more or less together with all and singular the rights members and appertenances thereof Whatsoever to the said tract or parcel of land belonging or in anywise appertaining & also all the estate right title interest claim and demand of him the said James West of in to or out of the same. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with all and singular the premises aforesaid with his and every of his members and appurtenances unto the said Jeremiah Reeves his heirs assigns to his and their own proper use and behoof for ever In witness whereof I James West have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal the day and date first above written
