Transcript

I John Reeves of Hopewell township in the County of Cumberland in the State of New Jersey being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last will & Testament in manner following.
First I give unto my wife Mable Reeves the use and profits of all that tract of land I bought of Stephan Ayres joining to Thomas Wailkmans & Elnathan Davis lands to hold to her during her life
I also give unto her the one half of all my personal estate after my debts & expenses are payd, to be in lieu of dower in my other lands; all the remainder of my personal estate; I give to my daughters Mable Leeke & Eunice Bishop, share & share alike
I give & devise to my son Johnson Reeves all that tract of land; I bought of Stephen Ayres afsd; in lieu and instead of a tract of land which I sold lying at turnup hill in Salem County to him his heirs & assigns for ever but not to come into the possession of it until his mothers deth; or by her consent
I give and devise to my son Joseph Reeves all that tract or plantation whereon he now lives which I purched of Israel Morris and likewise the remaining part of the lot or tract of marsh which I purchased of Samuel Harris & Nicholas Johnson lying in that body of marsh called Brownsmark & ajoining a lot of fore eacors of marsh I sold to my son Johnson Reeves; to run as far down Isaac Browns line to his (?) corner next to the Creek or untill it comes strate with the cosway to him his heirs and assigns for ever. I give and devise unto my son Abraham Reeves the plantation where on I now live which I purched of Thomas Mulford; together with the remainder of my dreanned marsh lying with in Holmes bank; and likewise all the remainder of marsh lying below Thomas Browns ajoining Jonathan Bowing Isaac Brown; and the man? Creek; and all my Seder swamp lying on greene branch to hold to him his heirs and assigns for ever.
And I Heare by constitute and apoint my wife Mable Reeves executrix; and my son Abraham Reeves executor of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale this twentififth day of July one thousand seven hundred and ninety two 1792

Thomas Reeves & Abraham Miller two of the witnesses to the above will being duly sworn did say that they saw John Reeves the testator therein named sign & seal the same & heard him publish pronounce & declare it to be his last will & Testament, that at the doing thereof he was of sound & disposing mind & memory so far as they know and as they verily believe, and that Nathan Miller the other subscribing evidence was present at the same time and signed his name as a witness to said will together with these deponents, in the presence of said testator
