THIS INDENTURE made this the Twenty fourth day of May One thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety Six Between John Biggers of the County of Bourbon & Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part and Austine Smith Reeves of the County of Mason and Commonwealth aforesaid Executor to the Estate of Benjamin Reeves of the County of Mason afsd - Deceased on the part Witnesseth that the said John Biggers for and in consideration of the sum of One Hundred and fifty Pounds the Receipt whereof he the Said John Bigger do hereby acknowledge and forever acquit and discharge the said Austin Smith Reeves in his capacity of Executor to the Estate of Benjamin Reeves aforesaid Deceased & also all and Singular the heirs of Said Deceased Have granted Bargained and Sold Aliened and Confirmed and by these presents doth Bargain Sell Alien and Confirm unto the Said Austin Smith Reeves in Trust in his legal capacity of Executor to the Estate aforesaid a certain tract or parcel of Land Situate and lying in the County of Mason aforesaid containing three hundred Acres bounded as follows viz, begining at two Sugar trees thence runing South Ninety Eight poles to a Black Ash and Sugar tree both growing together the root, thence East four hundred and & ninety [illegible, buried in binding] poles to a State in John Taylors line, thence north ninety eight poles to a Stake in John West his field, thence West four Hundred and ninety one poles to the Begining - To Have and to hold the above described premises hereby Conveyed with all and Singular the priviliges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the Said Austin Smith Reeves in Trust as aforesaid, And the Said John Bigger his heirs Executors & Administrators do Covenant promise and agree to & with the Said Executors & heirs of Benjamin Reeve deceas'd by these presents that he the Said John Bigger has full right and Lawful authority to Sell and Despose of the Same & that the premises are free of all incumbrances whatsoever and the Said John Bigger his heirs & assigns do Covenant to and with the Executors and heirs aforesaid that the said Bigger will forever warrant and Defend the aforesaid premises to the said Executor & heirs against the Lawfull Claims of any person or Persons whatsoever, In Witness whereof he the Said John Bigger hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written

At a Court held for Mason County the 27th of December 1796 This Indenture of Bargain and Sale from John Bigger to Austin Smith Reeves was Proved by the Oathes of Stephen White Andrew Henderson and Edward Harris Witnesses thereto and ordered to be Recorded.
