Transcript

This Indenture made the Second day of January One thousand seven hundred and ninty nine between Daniel Reaves of the one part and Thomas Russell of the other part, both of the County of Davidson and State of Tennessee, Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of Eighty dollars to him the said Daniel Reaves in hand paid by the said Thomas Russell before the signing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby fully acknowledged and the said Daniel Reaves satisfied and paid hath bargained granted sold aliened enfeoffed conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth bargain, sell alien enfoff convey and confirm unto the said Thomas Russell his heirs Exrs, and Admrs, forever, all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Davidson and State of Tennessee on the South side of Cumberland river on the West Fork of Pond Creek joining a survey of said Russells on the North and William Smiths on the West, Beginning at white Oak on said Smiths upper line running West one hundred poles to a Stake then South Eighty poles to a stake on Stuarts line then East to Thomas Russells line and with his line one hundred poles to a stake then North Eighty poles to the beginning containing Fifty acres, To have and to hold the aforesaid bargained premises with all advantages Hereditaments and appertenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining unto the said Thomas Russell his heirs and assigns forever, and the said Daniel Reaves for himself his heirs Executors and Admrs, covenants to and with the said Thomas Russell his heirs and assigns to warrant and forever defend the aforesaid bargained premises unto the said Thomas Russell his heirs and assigns shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In witness whereof the said Daniel Reaves hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written.
