Transcript

This Indenture made the twelfth day of Jany in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and two between Andrew Ewing of the County of Davidson and State of Tennessee of the one part and Robert C Reaves of the same County and State aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Andrew Ewing for and in consideration of the sum of Three hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said Robert C Reaves the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given granted bargained aliened conveyed and confirmed unto the said Robert C Reaves his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the County of Davidson and State of Tennessee aforesaid on the West fork of Mill Creek Beginning at a Hackberry ? Swings north west corner, running south seventy three poles with his line to where it intersects the said West fork of Mill Creek thence up said Creek according to its several meanders thereof along the middle of the Channel until it intersects the South Boundary line of the Original Preemption? thence north with the line of the same to William E? South West corner thence east along the said William Euoing? line to the Beginning, containing one hundred acres be the same more or less and lying in the South West corner of the said preemption granted to the said Andrew Eowing. To have and to hold the aforesaid land with all and singular the Rights Profits and Emoluments Hereditaments and Appurtenances of in and to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Robert C Reaves his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Andrew Eowing for himself his heirs Executors and Admrs doth covenant grant & agree to and with the said Robert C Reaves his heirs assigns that the Before Recited land and Bargained Premises he will warrant and forever defend against the Right Interest or claim of all and every person or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof the said Andrew Ewing hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written.
