This indenture made this seventh day of Oct. one thousand eight hundred and three between Sarah Reeves widow Joseph Reeves and George Cotter and Mary his Wife David Wilson and Milly his wife John Sermonnis (sic) and Dilly his Wife and Elizabeth Reeves of the County of Woodford and State of Kentucky and James Reeves and Thomas Reeves of County of Henry and State aforesaid of the one part and William Marshall Junior of the County of Shelby and State aforesaid of the other part Whereas Thomas Reeves James Reeves and John Farris heretofore gave their bond to William Marshall for the conveyance of three hundred acres of land on the water of Flat Creek and whereas the said Thomas Reeves has since departed this life leaving the before mentioned parties of the first part his heirs and representatives NOW THIS INDENTURE Witnesseth that the said Sarah Reeves Jos. Reeves and George Cotter and Mary his Wife David Wilson and Milly his Wife John Serminnus (sic) and Dilly his Wife Elizabeth Reeves James Reeves and Thomas Reeves for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred pounds Current money of Kentucky to the said Thomas Reeves in his life time in hand paid the receipt Whereof is hereby Acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said William Marshall Junior his Heirs and assigns forever a Certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and begin in Shelby County on the waters of Flat Creek Containing three hundred acres and bounded as follows towit Beginning at a white oak hickory and beech and two sugartree saplings standing near the line of Thomas Reeves two thousand acre Survey thence south thirteen East one hundred and ninety poles to a white walnut hickory and white oak thence South eighteen east one hundred and twenty one poles to the bank of Flat Creek to an ash sugartree and hickory sapling near the mouth of a large branch of said Creek thence South twenty West crossing the Creek and branch at twenty two poles in all sixty four poles to a red oak and white oak sapling thence South eighty West crossing Flat Creek at one hundred and sixty poles the same course continued to make in all two hundred and twelve poles to a stooping hickory elm and sugartree sapling near the said Reeves line thence North with his line two hundred and eighty four poles to the Beginning together with all and every of its appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold to the only proper use and behoof of the said William Marshall Junr. His heirs and assigns forever and the said Sarah Reeves Joseph Reeves George Cotter David Wilson John Surmonus (sic) Elizabeth Reeves James Reeves and Thomas Reeves for themselves their heirs etc doth covenant and oblige themselves to warrant and forever defend the aforesaid tract of land from the Claim or Claims of themselves their heirs etc and all and every person or persons whatever unto him the said William Junr. His heirs and assigns forever In Testimony whereof the said Sarah Reeves Jos. Reeves & George Cotter and Mary his Wife David Wilson and Milly his Wife Jno Sermonus and Dilly his Wife Elizabeth Reeves James Reeves and Thomas Reeves have hereunto set their hands and Seals the day and year first above written.

This day James Reeves attorney in fact for Sarah Joseph Reeves George Cotter Mary Cotter David Wilson Milly Wilson John Sermonnis Dilly Sirmonnis Elizabeth Reeves and Thomas Reeves came personally before me James Craig Clerk of said County and acknowledged the within Indenture to be his act and Deed as attorney in fact for the said several parties herein before mentioned and also acknowledged the same to be his own Act and Deed for the purposes herein contained and hereupon the same was admitted to Record.
