This Indenture made the the (sic) 3rd day of November 1805 between Elijah Reeve Senr. of the County of Fleming and State of Kentucky of the One part and Spencer Reeve of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth; That the said Elijah Reeve Senr. for and in Consideration of the sum of One hundred and twenty four pounds ten Shillings Current money of the State aforesaid to him in hand paid by the said Spencer Reeve the receipt of which of which (sic) is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold aliened and Confirmed unto the said Spencer Reeve a Certain tract or parcel of Land laying on the waters of Foxes Creek in the said County of Fleming being a part of Lot number Eleven one of the Lots of a Survey of 30,000 Acres made in the name of Littleberry Moseby Heir at Law to John Mosby Deceas’d Containing by estimation Two hundred and fifty Acres, and bounded as follows, to wit, Beginning at a Dogwood; Spanish Oak and Sugar tree Standing on the bank of the Creek, thence North thirty five West Sixty poles to two white oaks Corner to William Reeve, Thence North thirty poles to three White oakes Standing in the old line, and corner to William Rice, thence West with the old line Three hundred poles to a black Gum black oak and black ash Corner to Elisha Hill, Thence South 35 East two hundred and ten poles to a hickory and white oak Corner to James Mans, Thence South Eighty four East one hundred poles With said Mann’s line to a Sugar tree and Elm Standing on the bank of the Creek, Thence up the Creek South thirty two East, Thirty three poles, Thence South fifteen East One hundred poles, Thence East One hundred and ten poles to the beginning.
To Have and to hold the said two hundred and fifteen Acres of land, Together with all and every Singular profit and advantage to the said hereby granted premises belonging or in anywise appertaining to the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said Spencer Reeve and his Heirs and the said Elijah Reeves doth for himselfe and his Heirs the land and premises above described and every part and parcel thereof unto the said Spencer Reeve his Heirs and assigns Shall and will warrant and forever Defend from himself and his heirs and also from all and every other person or persons whatsoever.

Botts Deputy Clerk of the Fleming Circuit Court (being authorized by Law to receive and admit to record in said Office Deeds and other writings) Do Certify that the foregoing Indenture of bargain and Sale from Elijah Reeve Senr. to Spencer Reeve was this day produced before me, proven by the Oath of Ammariah Bonnan Barnet Deuwitt & Benjamin Reeve the subscribing witnesses there to, And is together with this Certificate Duly recorded in said Office. Given under my hand this 4th day of November 1805.
