I Betsey Reeves of Woodford County do hereby make ordain and appoint my friend William Gilpin my attorney in fact in my name and for my use for the purpose of selling settling & in in (sic) every capacity to manage the business of the land in which I have an interest as one of the heirs of Thomas Reeves deceased lying in said County, adjoining Versailles also to collect and receive all moneys due me from John Jackson and Herman Bowman and all other persons who are or may become indebted to me as heir as aforesaid also to bring suite and prosecute the same in my name and for any use as aforesaid also to receive and collect all money which may be due me out of my mothers thirds in & of said land hereby confirming and ratifying all and every act which my attorney may do in conformity with the premises Witness my hand and seal this 12th day of March 1812Elizabeth Reeves (Seal)

This Power of attorney from Elizabeth Reeves to William Gilpin was produced before me in my office and acknowledged by said Elizabeth to be her act and deed and the same is duly recorded.
