In the name of God Amen. I Thomas Reeves of Hopewell in the County of Cumberland & State of New Jersey do make this my last Will & Testament in manner following.I give and devise to my son Joshua Reeves two acres of my salt wild marsh adjoining the lot sold to Jonathan Bowen. Also one acre of my drained marsh lying on the east side of John Reeves lot and extending to the ditch between me and Abraham Reeves and one half of my cedar swamp to him his heirs & assigns forever.
I give and devise to my grandson Thomas Reeves the son of my deceased son Thomas Reeves all the rest of my land marsh & cedar swamp to him his heirs and assigns excepting and giving to my daughter in law Ruth Reeves the widow of my said son Thomas Reeves decd the use occupation and profits of one third part thereof for & during her natural life.
I give to my daughter Sarah Parvin? one dollar
I give to my daughter Martha Reeves one bed in trust for her son John Reeves to be delivered to him at the age of twenty one or at his marriage. I give to Abigail Miller one dollar
I mans???t & set free at my decease my negro girl named violet
All the rest of my personal estate after the payment of just debts, legacies & funeral expenses, including tombstones for my grave, I give to my son Joshua Reeves & my two granddaughters, Anne Reeves & Nancy Reeves; my son Joshua to have one half and my two granddaughters the other half equally between them.
I do hereby constitute and appoint my son Joshua Reeves executor & my daughter in law Ruth Reeves executrix of this my last Will & Testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this ninth day of October one thousand eight hundred and twelve.
