Transcript

This Indenture made this twentyseventh day of September in the year Eighteen hundred & nineteen, between Deskin McUrtyre Deputy for James Parks Sheriff of Fleming County of the one part & Elijah Reeves junior of the County aforesaid of the other part, and all of the State of Kentucky.
Witnesseth that the said Deskin McGuiture in Capacity of deputy sheriff as aforesaid in the year aforesaid by virtue of a writ of Firie facias to the sheriff of Fleming County Directed from the Clerks office of the Fleming Circuit Court on the seventh day of July in the year aforesaid Returnable to the September Rules following for the sums of forty five Dollars & forty cents against Spencer Reeves thirty two Dollars and fifty nine Dollars & eighteen cents in favours of Robert Allen against the estate of Elijah Reeves Benjamin Reeves & Nancy his wife Margaret Reeves Rhoda Reeves, William Rice & Elizabeth his wife and which came into his hands as deputy aforesaid and was by him the said Duskam McIntyre as the deputy of the said James Parkes, levied upon all the title and interest of the said Elijah Reeves, Benjamin Reeves & Nancy his wife William Rice and Elizabeth his wife, Margaret Reeves Rhody Reeves in and to one hundred acres of land, situate on Foxes Creek in the County of Fleming part of Mosby claim which interest was an undivided moiety of Five eights and the said Duskin McIntyre as deputy aforesaid having advertised the sale of the said land according to law on a certain day, did on the said twentyseventh day of September Eighteen hundred and nineteen, proceed and sell the same at public auction to the highest bidder on the premises at three months credit, at which sale the said Elijah Reeves jr became the purchaser for the sum of fifty six Dollars & seventy cents of the whole of the undivided interest of the said Elijah Reeves, Benjamin Reeves and Nancy his wife late Nancy Reeves William Rice and Elizabeth his wife late Elizabeth Reeves Margaret Reeves & Rhody Reeves which tract of one hundred acres is bounded as followeth to wit:
Beginning at a sugartree on the west Bank of Foxes Creek thence North fifteen west ninety two poles thence North thirty eight poles thence North fifty two west eighteen, thence North fourteen west fifty two poles, thence North thirty east eight poles, to a sugartree and elm in the bank of the foxes creek, thence North eight four West one hundred & one twenty fifth poles to a hickory and white oak thence south six west two hundred and eight poles to the Beginning. Now the said Duskin McIntire Deputy for James Parks Sheriff of Fleming aforesaid by virtue of the premises and in consideration of the said sums of fity six Dollars seventy cents, the purchase money second by bond with security; have sold and by these presents do sell convey and confirm unto the said Spencer Reeves, his heirs and assigns forever all the right title and interest of the Elijah Reeves, Benjamin Reeves and Nancy his wife William Rice & wife, Margaret Reeves and Rhody Reeves in and to the said undivided tract or parcel of land, Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any manner appertaining, To have and to hold the said undivided interest so sold and truly conveyed in the land aforesaid with the appurtenances to him the said Spencer Reeves his heirs and assigns forever Hereby conveying and transfering to the said Spencer Reeves all the right title interest claim & demand of the said Benjamin & Nancy William & Elizabeth Elijah Rhoda, and Margaret in said tract of one hundred acres as fully & completely as they held claimed or possessed the same.
In testimony whereof the said Duskan McIntyre the Deputy sheriff of the said James Parkes hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written.
