Transcript

This Indenture made this 13th day of June in the year 1820 between James Crawford a commissioner appointed by a decree of the Fleming Circuit Court in a suit in Chancery wherein Samuel Tilson was complainant and Elijah Reeves and others were defendants to convey for and on behalf of Elijah Reeve, Spencer Reeves, Ben Reeves & Mary his wife, Anthony Worlley & Jane his wife William Royce & Elizabeth his wife of the one part Margaret Reeves Rhoda Reeves & Thomas Reeves heirs and legal representantives of Elijah Reeves deceased of the one part and Samuel Tilson of the other part Witnesseth that whereas the said James Crawford commissioner as aforesaid by virtue of said decree by these presents do convey unto the said Samuel Tilson the following described tract of land Beginning where the lines of both Nos 11 & 12 of Mosbys survey crosses Foxes Creek thence with said line East to a branch one or two rods from Mr McGalas North east corner thence down the branch as it meanders to the mouth of Foxes Creek thence down Foxes Creek as it manders to the Beginning To have and to hold the same to him his heirs ad assigns forever and the said James Crawford commissioner as aforesaid for and on behand of the said Spencer Reeves Elijah Reeves & others heirs of Elijah Reeves decd the land and premises before described and every part and parcel thereof with every of the appurtenances unto him the said Samuel Tilson his heirs and assigns will warrant & forever defend against the claim of themselves & their heirs and those claiming under them In witness thereof the said James Crawford commissioner as aforesaid hath to these presents set his hand and affixed his seal the date first written.

I James Crawford Deputy Clerk of the Circuit for the County aforesaid Certify that at a Court held for the Curcuit aforsd at the day afsd this deed of conveyance from the heirs of Elijah Reeves &c by James Crawford a commissioner to Samuel Tilson was this day produced before me in open court acknowledged by the said Crawford Commissioner as aforesaid to be his act and deed hand and seal examined approved of & confirmed by the Court & ordered to be recorded which is done.
