TranscriptThis Indenture made this fourteenth day of August 1821 between Elijah Reeves Jr of the County of Sciota & State of Ohio of the one part and Spencer S Reeves of the County of Fleming and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the other part Witnesseth that the said Elijah Reeves Junr for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to him in hand paid by said Spencer S Reeves the receipt of which he doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Spencer S Reeves his heirs or assigns the following described tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Fleming on the waters of Foxes Creek, being a part of Moshy's claim and being the interest of the said Elijah Reeves Jr. Benjamin Reeves & Nancy his wife William Rice & Elizabeth his wife, Margaret Reeves & Rhoda Reeves in and to one hundred acres of land which interest was an undivided moiety of Five eighths reference being had to the deed from the Sheriff of Fleming County to the said Elijah Reeves Jr recorded in the office of the Fleming Court will more fully and at large appear and bounded as follows two wit Beginning at a sugartree on the west bank of Foxes Creek thence North 15 West 92 poles thence North 38 poles thence North 52 west 18 poles thence North 14 west 52 poles thence North 30 East 8 poles to a sugartree and elm on the bank of Foxes Creek thence North 84 west 100- 1/25 poles to a hickory and white oak thence South 6 west 208 poles to the Beginning to have and to hold the premises hereby conveyed together with all and singular the priviledges and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the same unto the said Spencer S Reeves his heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said Spencer S. Reeves his heirs and assigns and the said Elijah Reeves Jr for himself his heirs doth covenant promise and agree to and with the said Spencer S. Reeves his heirs &c that he will warrant and forever defend the before described premises unto him the said Spencer from the claim of himself his heirs &c and from all persons claiming by through or under him but not against the claim of any other person whatever. In testimony whereof the said Elijah Reeves Jr hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day & date first written.

Reeves was this day produced before me and acknowledged by said Elijah Reeves Jr to be his act and deed & the same is duly recorded in my office. Given under my hand this 14th day of August 1821.
