This indenture made August the sixteenth and in the year of our Lord God one thousand eight hundred & twenty four Isham Reavis calling to mind the mortality of man do make this my last will and testament and renounce all other wills.
And first I recommend my soul to the hands of almighty God who gave it my, to be decently buried at the descresion of my children. Also what worldly goods it hath pleased God to give me, I wish to dispose of in the following manner.
My just debts, & all my funeral expences paid & then I lend to my well beloved wife all those things I had with her, is to be paid?, also one bed furniture, one horse, one cow & calf, one sowe & pigs, one ax, one hoe, & all the rest of my children, girls and boys, to be made equal, as near as possible. Edward Reavis has Recd nearly at amt 500$. Marcurial Reavis Recd nearly the same 500$. Isham Reavis Jnr " " 500. Daniel Reavis " " 500$. Charles Reavis is not my son, he had one horse I gave him, and now I give him one cow and calf more & no more. William Reavis I hired? to his brother Edard? two years, for some where about $120. Solomon Reavis $350. Rebeckah Potter my daughter $50. Martha Strickling $50.
My will is that William Reavis, Solomon Reavis & the two girls, have as much as the first four boys viz & then equally devise all the rest boys & girls, Charles Reavis excepted he is not my son. I constitute & apoint Solomon Reavis my whole executor. Free Ginger, & Patience.?

Know all men by these presents that I Solomon Reavis principal, and Edward Reavis and Warren P Reavis securities were held and firmly bound to the governor of the State of Missouri and his successors in office in the penal sum of one thousand dollars lawful money of the United States, to be paid to the governor or his successor in office and for the time? payment ? we being ourselves and our heirs executors and administrators firmly by these presents sealed with our seals this 11th day of September 1829.
The condition of this obligation is such that if the above bound Solomon Reavis executor of all & singular goods and chattles rights and credits of Isham Reavis decd do make or cause to be made a true and perfect inventory of all and singular goods and chattles rights and credits of the said Decd which have or shall be come to the hands possession or knowledge of him the said Solomon Reavis or into the hands or possession of any person for him, and the same so made do returne and exhibit in the office of the Clerk of Saline County on or before the 2d Monday in February 1830, and all and singular the goods and chattles rights and credits of the said Decd which shall come to the lands possession or knowledge of the said Solomon Reavis, and shall well and truely execute according to law, and pay the debts of the Decd as far as his assets shall extend and the law direct, and further make or cause to be made a just and true account of their executorship, and make true and proper settlements thereof from time to time according to law, or the order decree, or sentence of any Court having competent jurisdiction and shall more over well and truely do and perform all other matters and things touching the executors as are or shall be present & by law or enjoined on my by the order decree or sentence of ay Court having competent jurisdiction then this obligation to be void.
