Transcription

In the name of God Amen
                                                      I Nathan Reeves of Chillicothe Ross County Ohio considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being weak in body but of sound mind and disposing mind and memory do make publish and declare this to be my Last Will and Testament It is my will and decree that after my decease all my estate of every description real and personal be held and disposed of by my beloved wife Nancy Reeves to her and her heirs and assigns forever to be disposed of in such manner as she may Judge best my meaning however is that the residue of my estate after payment of all debts due by me at the time of my decease shall belong to my said wife her heirs and assigns forever. It is also my will and desire that my executor herein after named shall have and he is hereby invested with full and apple (sic ample) powers to sell and convey so much of the personal and real estate of which I may be possessed or seized as may be found necessary for the payment of all debts due by me at the time of my decease and I do hereby appoint my son in law David Collins of the county aforesaid sole executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills and codicils by me made In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal at Chillicothe this third day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty one.

Signed sealed published and declared by the above named Nathan Reeves to be his last will and testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witness in the presence of the testator.

State of Ohio Ross County Sct.
                              Personally appeared at a special session at the Court of Common Please in and for the County aforesaid on Wednesday the 14th day of December 1831 Present the Honorable James McClintick, Isaac Cook & Samuel Swearingen Associate Judges for the County aforesaid Alexander Wibly & John Land the attesting witnesses to the last will and testament of Nathan Reeves late of the County of Ross deceased who being duly known say that the said testator was of sound mind and memory at the time of executing said will that he signed sealed published and declared the same to be his last will & testament in the presence of these affiants and they at his request signed & subscribed the said will in his presence and in the presence of each other and further they day not
