Lancaster District         } Know all men by these presents that I James Reeves of said State and District for and in consideration of the sum of one Hundred Dollars to me in hand paid by Amos Blackmon of the State and District aforesaid, have Granted, bargained, sold and released- and by these presents do Grant, bargain sell and release unto the said Amos Blackmon one hundred acres of Land more or less lying on the waters of Bear Creek adjoining lands of Mrs Susannah Baskin, Synthia Blackmon, & others - Beginning on a post oak station of my own Land thence up ___ big branch to a stake corner on Susannah Baskin line, then on said line to a pine corner, thence on Syntha Blackmon’s line to a post oak corner, thence on the same line to a post oak corner, thence to a lightwood stump on the said Amos ‘s land thence nearby a west corner to a pine corner, thence to the beginning post oak corner
              I the said James Reeves do hereby warrant and defend the said premises to the said Amos Blackmon his heirs Executors and Administrators and all persons whomsoever lawfully claiming the same or any part thereof -
              Witness my hand and seal this 30th July 1835
