Lancaster District         } Know all men by these presents that I Nancy Williams of the District & State aforesaid for & in consideration of the natural love and affection which I bear & have towards my son Uriah Williams & also in consideration of the sum of one Dollar to me in hand paid by the said Uriah Williams have given granted bargained & sold & by these presents do give grant bargain & sell to the said Uriah one negro Girl named Jane about ten years old Together with her future in __ to him his heirs & assigns forever. The said negro Girl to remain in my possession so long as I shall live & after my death to the said Uriah & his heirs & assigns forever.
         Given under my hand & seal this 28th day of September 1839
