Transcript

I John Reeve of the Parish of Sandon in the County of Essex being of sound mind and memory and in good bodily health but knowing the uncertainty of life do hereby make this my last will and testament revoking all other wills made by me, I give and bequeath to my daughter Eleanor the wife of George Riley farmer of Sandon aforesaid in the County of Essex the whole of my property (after my just debts are paid) of whatever description funded or unfunded all my goods and chattels that I may die possessed of for her sole use and benefit without lett or molestation and that it shall be under her entire control and disposal with the exception of the sum of ten pounds which I give and bequeath to William Flaxman labourer of great Baddow as a legacy
I also constitute and appoint my aforesaid daughter Eleanor the wife of the aforesaid George Riley sole executrix of this my last will and testament this sixteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty eight and in the first year of the reign of our Sovreign Lady Queen Victoria

Eleanor Riley } wife of George Riley the daughter and sole executor name in this will was duly sworn to the truth and faithful performance of the same and faithfully to administer and as usual that the whole of the goods chattels and credits of the testatrix does not amount in value to the sum of four hundred and fifty pounds and that he died on the thirteenth day of September last
