Transcript

I Ambrose Reeve of Laindon Common in the County of Essex hereby make my last Will and direct that as soon as possible after my decease the whole of the property of which I may die possessed Freehold copyhold leasehold furniture stock in trade whatever and wherever shall be sold and after payment of my just debts funeral and testamentary expences I bequeath to the following persons or their survivors in equal proportions with the excepting of my godson and Nephew William Ramsey to whom I give a double share, to my sister Elizabeth Reeve of Laindon Common aforesaid Sarah Curtis of Sudbury in Suffolk Hanah Steele of West Thurrick in Essex and to my Nephew and Neices children of my late sister Mary Ramsey William Samuel Jonathan Charles Nathan and Charlotte Smith Mary Vallis Martha Joice and Rebeca Laver to each of the above parties as shall be living at my decease an eaqual proportion of the property I may be possessed of with the excepting as before stated for my Nephew William Ramsey to whom I give a double share and to such of my sisters and neices as have married I bequeath their shares for their own use and not subject to the control of their husbands I appoint Nathan Ramsey and James Thompson the farmer of Stafford Row Tunlico London the Latter of Bellericay Essex as executors of this my last will dated this 19th day of July 1838 in the presence of

I Ambrose Reve of Laindon Common in the County of Essex do hereby wish Hannah Reeve wife of John Reve of great Burstead in the said county to receive an equal share of whatsoever I may die possesed of as well as the aforesaid and likewise for the said Hannah Reve to at the death of me to be sole mistress of all I die possessed of and to part the equal shares as before mentioned

The fourth day of May 1846 - Nathan Ramsey of Sloane Street, in the Parish of Chelsea, in the County of Middlesex, nephew of the deceased, and one of the Executors within named, was sworn to the truth of the will, and to the due performance thereof, and, that to the best of his knowledge and belief the goods chattels, and credits of the deceased do not amount to the sum of eighty pounds - power being reserved to James Thompson, the other executor named in the said will
