THIS DEED made this 2nd day of December in the year Eighteen hundred and fifty Between Wm. J Reeves and Courtney Reeves Witnesseth that in consideration of the sum of Five dollars to the said Wm. J Reeves in hand paid by the said Courtney Reeves the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged he the said Wm. J Reeves doth grant unto the said Courtney Reeves and his heirs forever all his right title and interest in and to a certain piece of land in Prince William County on Crooked Branch near Priests Mill known as the dower of Lavinia Reeves ) Widdow (sic) of Hezekiah H. Prince William County to wit
I Seymour Lynn a Justice of the Peace in the county aforesaid and the state of Virginia do certify that William J. Reeves party to a certain deed dated 2nd of December 1850 and hereto annexed personally appeared before me in the county aforesaid and acknowledged the same to be his act & deed and desired me to certify the said acknowledgement to the Clerk of the County Court of Prince William County in order that the same may be recorded. Given under my hand and seal this 3rd March 1851.
