Transcript

I Adaline Reeve, of the town of Wawayanda, in the Conty of Orange and State of New York, do make publish & declare this my last Will and testament in manner following that is to say
First I order and direct my executors hereinafter named as soon after my decease as may be practacable, to pay and discharge all my just debts and funeral expences, in which I mean to include suitable & proper gravestones to be selected & put up by my said executors, out of my estate
Second I give & bequeath unto my brother Daniel L. Reeve, the sum of five hundred Dollars, to be paid to him at the expiration of one year after my deecase. But in case he shall not be living at the time of my death, then I give & bequeath the said sum of five hundred dollars to the children of my said brother living at the time of my death.
Third I give and bequeath unto my sister Phebe Jane Gale, wife of Andrew J. Gale, all my wearing apparel, personal ornaments & bed and bedding & such other personal property as I may own, at the time of my decease, not to include money bonds, mortgages, promisory notes or debts due me of any kind.
Fourth All the rest, residue & remainder of my estate, I give and bequeath unto my executors hereinafter named & the survivor of them, in trust, to convert the same into money as soon after my decease as they or the survivor of them may be able to do so without loss to my estate, and invest the same upon bond & mortgage, on unincumbered real estate, or in the bonds of this State or of the United States, and pay over the interest thereof, half yearly or yearly, as they or the survivor, may be able to collect the msame to my said sister, for and during her natural life; and at her decease I further order and direct my said executors, or the survivor them to pay over or use & apply the interest aforesaid equally to and amongst the children of my said sister until the eldest of said children shall attain the age of twenty one years, at which tiem, I direct my said executors or the survivor of them, to divide the principal sum equally amongst all of her children then living and pay over to the said child his or her equal proportion of said principal sum and the interest upon the balance of said principal to divide & distribute amongst the remaining minor children until & as each shall attain full age, when & as each of the said children shall attain his or her majority I direct my said executors or the survivor of them to pay over to such children his or her equal proportion of such principal sum.
Lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint the said Daniel L. Reeve and Andrew J. Gale executors & trustees of this my last Will & Testament, hereby revoking all former wills, or other testamentary dispositions, at any time heretofore made by me
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, and published and declared this my last Will & Testament this eighth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty four.
