Know all men by these presents that I Sarah A. Horton of Kershaw County and State of South Carolina for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred & twenty three dollars to me paid by Thomas Reaves of Lancaster County and State aforesaid have granted bargained, sold and released and by these presents do grant bargain sell and release unto the said Thomas Reaves, all that tract or parcel of Land, containing One hundred & Sixty one acres more or less situated in Lancaster County on the waters of Little Lynches Creek Bounded by lands of James Sewel & J J Horton Sen, on the west by A J Cauthen north by James B Reaves, and on the East by the said S A Horton land. Together with all and singular the rights members hereditaments and appurtenances to the said premises belonging or in anywise incident or appertaining to have and to hold all and singular the premises before mentioned and the said Thomas Reaves his heirs and assigns forever and I do hereby bind myself my heirs Executors and administrators to warrant and forever defend all and singular the rights of the said premises unto the said Thomas Reaves his heirs and assigns against me and my heirs and all persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof. Witness my hand and seal this 7th day of October in year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred & Seventy four.
