Deed from John Ball, Jr., his mother and siblings to John Lumpkin, Jr. conveying tract of land inherited by Austen Ball, deceased. The tract of land was devised by Austin to his mother for her life and then to his sisters at her death. Essex County VA Deed Book 33, pg 64-65.

Research Notes

In a 1787 deed by his heirs disposing of a tract of land, Austin is stated being deceased. He was never listed as an adult or a tithe of his mother's on Essex tax lists prior to his death in 1787 which suggests he was born before 1770 and not yet at least 16 years of age.
